While Claire Darrow and her mother Joanna acclimate to working together at the law firm, her daughter Lou sets out to make a name for herself on the boy's baseball team. When Claire's rival, District Attorney Miles Strasberg, learns his sister is the top suspect in the murder of her music manger, he puts aside their differences and hires Claire to take on the case.
