Ten years after being attacked in an art school by habitual rapist, Theodore Gray, who is serving 25 years, but is now eligible for parole. Sarah Reynolds leads a happy life in a gallery and with her handsome husband, lawyer Michael Reynolds. As a sketch-artist, she helps police detective, Nick Sousa, with cases. It was Det. Sousa who put Gray away. Then, new cases following Gray's M.O. occur, and a victim who got away gives a description that Sara hesitates to draw because it looks just like Michael.
