Naked Autumn (1961)

A troubled couple, Bruno and Élisabeth, whose relationship is marked by emotional volatility and deep dissatisfaction. Living together in a provincial French town, Bruno grows increasingly restless and disillusioned with his life and partner. His frustration turns into cruelty, as he begins to assert control over Élisabeth through manipulation and psychological abuse. Seeking escape from his stifling domestic situation, Bruno becomes involved with another woman. However, instead of bringing him relief, this new relationship only intensifies his inner conflict and sense of emptiness. Meanwhile, Élisabeth, fragile and deeply attached, suffers from his emotional neglect and erratic behavior. As tensions escalate, the couple spirals into a destructive cycle of jealousy, resentment, and dependence.
