Single Black Tenant (2026)

Inspired by actual events, 'Single Black Tenant' centers on Esme Williams who, after years of just scraping by, believes that her luck has finally turned when she lands an affordable apartment in a quiet Cleveland neighborhood, but her relief quickly gives way to terror when she uncovers evidence that suggests that her erratic landlord is a murderer setting her up to take the fall. Left with little help, she must fight to uncover the truth and survive. As disturbing clues pile up, including her landlord Angie's increasingly erratic behavior and the discovery of blood-soaked rags in a vacant upstairs unit, Esme starts to believe that Angie killed the real landlord and is setting her up as the scapegoat. When the police refuse to step in, Esme sets about obsessively piecing together evidence until the truth can no longer be ignored.
